गंगा दशहरा आज है। पंडित केए दुबे पद्मेश ने बताया कि ज्येष्ठ मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की दशमी (गंगा दशहरा) पर मां गंगा धरती पर अवतरित हुईं थीं। उस दिन हस्त नक्षत्र, व्यतिपात योग, गर योग, आनंद योग, कन्या राशि में चंद्रमा और वृषभ में सूर्य समेत दस शुभ योग बने थे।तभी से माना जाता है कि इन शुभ योगों के प्रभाव से गंगा दशहरा पर गंगा स्नान करने से दस तरह के पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं। आचार्य पवन तिवारी ने बताया कि यदि आप गंगा स्नान करने नहीं जा पा रहे हैं तो घर पर ही थोड़े से गंगाजल में सादा जल मिलाकर स्नान कर लें।
ये भी रखें ध्यान 1100 चुनरी अर्पित करेंगे मां गंगा सेवा समिति के बाल योगी अरुण पुरी महाराज ने बताया कि गंगा दशहरा पर इस बार 1100 चुनरी मां गंगा को अर्पित करेंगे। लॉकडाउन की वजह से इस बार छोटा कार्यक्रम ही किया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि हर वर्ष गंगा दशहरा पर मां गंगा को 55 किलोमीटर लंबी चुनरी अर्पित की जाती थी। यह चुनरी बिठूर के ब्रह्मावर्त घाट से ड्योढ़ी घाट तक अर्पित की जाती थी। गंगा स्नान के बाद मां गंगा को प्रणाम करें और सुमिरन अवश्य करें। संभव हो तो मां गंगा की प्रतिमा या चित्र का पूजन करें। इनके साथ राजा भगीरथ और हिमालय देव की भी पूजा करें। गंगा पूजा के बाद देवाधिदेव महादेव की पूजा अवश्य करें।

Due to the lockdown, a shorter program will be done this time. He told that every year on Ganga Dussehra, 55 km long chunari was offered to the mother Ganga. It was offered from Brahmavart Ghat in Chunri Bithoor to Diodhi Ghat.
