देश की growth और development में मजदूर वर्ग (Labour Class) की भूमिका सबसे अहम मानी जाती है। Building construction से लेकर roads, agriculture और factories तक—हर sector मजदूरों की मेहनत पर ही चलता है। लेकिन पिछले कई सालों से minimum wages महंगाई के मुकाबले नहीं बढ़ पाए थे। Rising inflation की वजह से मजदूरों और उनके परिवारों की financial condition लगातार कमजोर होती जा रही थी और daily needs पूरी करना भी मुश्किल हो गया था।
Supreme Court का बड़ा फैसला क्यों बना जरूरी
लगातार बढ़ती inflation rate और stagnant wages को देखते हुए सुप्रीम कोर्ट को हस्तक्षेप करना पड़ा। Court ने साफ कहा कि पुराने minimum wage पर मजदूरों से काम कराना अब न्यायसंगत नहीं है। आज के समय में living cost कई गुना बढ़ चुकी है, ऐसे में मजदूरों को dignified life जीने के लिए fair salary मिलना उनका संवैधानिक अधिकार है।
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने यह भी स्पष्ट किया कि Article 21 (Right to Life) के तहत सम्मानजनक जीवन के लिए उचित वेतन जरूरी है।
Inflation और मजदूरों की ground reality
पिछले कुछ वर्षों में food items, house rent, transport, education और medicines की prices तेजी से बढ़ी हैं। इसका सबसे ज्यादा असर low-income और labour class पर पड़ा है। Limited income के कारण कई परिवार basic needs तक सही से पूरी नहीं कर पा रहे थे। Supreme Court ने इसी ground reality को ध्यान में रखते हुए minimum wages hike को जरूरी बताया।
Minimum Wages में कितनी बढ़ोतरी संभव
Experts के अनुसार, इस फैसले के बाद minimum wages में करीब 10% से 25% तक hike हो सकती है। हालांकि final wage rates राज्यों (States) द्वारा तय की जाएंगी।
- Metro cities और high-cost areas में salary hike ज्यादा हो सकती है
- Small towns और rural areas में local conditions के हिसाब से wages fix की जाएंगी
किन-किन मजदूरों को मिलेगा सीधा फायदा
यह salary hike सभी categories of workers पर लागू होगी, जैसे:
- Unskilled labour
- Semi-skilled workers
- Skilled workers
Skilled workers को उनकी expertise और experience के अनुसार ज्यादा benefit मिल सकता है। यह फैसला government और private sector—दोनों में लागू होगा, जिससे करोड़ों मजदूरों की income में सीधा सुधार आएगा।
कौन-कौन से sectors होंगे सबसे ज्यादा लाभान्वित
इस फैसले से लगभग हर sector के मजदूरों को फायदा मिलेगा, जैसे:

- Shops, malls और commercial establishments

- Domestic workers
इसके अलावा hotel, tourism, transport, drivers, loaders और service sector से जुड़े कर्मचारियों की earning भी बढ़ेगी। Low-income families के लिए यह फैसला किसी बड़ी राहत से कम नहीं है।
New Minimum Wage Rates कहां और कैसे देखें
Supreme Court के आदेश के बाद हर राज्य का Labour Department नई minimum wage notification जारी करेगा।
ये rates:

पर available होंगी। मजदूरों को सलाह दी जाती है कि वे सिर्फ official sources पर ही भरोसा करें और किसी भी fake news या अफवाह से बचें।
Economy पर क्या पड़ेगा असर
Minimum wages बढ़ने से मजदूरों की purchasing power बढ़ेगी। इससे:
- Market demand बढ़ेगी
- Production और business activities को boost मिलेगा
